  • Hi from matt at TGBD!

    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say hello properly after all this time of being a huge DYR fan. With a love for all thing nostalgic, it never ceases to amaze me stuff that appears on here...certainly a trip down memory lane.

Apart from nostalgia and animation, one of my other big interests is food (eating it, cooking it, researching brands etc) and for a long time now I have been meaning to create a website as a hobby. Well, I am very pleased to say that I have and it's called 'The Great British Diet' (TGBD).

You can view it at www.thegreatbritishdiet.co.uk and the basic idea is that it looks back on and celebrates those iconic foods and brands that we all grew up with including all foreign things we have adopted as our own over the years. It also includes my takes on current food-related news.

I am very new to all this web stuff and the site is very much in its infancy - certainly not anywhere near the standards of DYR. However, for now, I am just having great fun writing the articles and if any DYR members want to have a look around then it would be great hear from them.

Anyways, again, great site and forum and I look forward to meeting all of you.

    Matthew

Welcome Matt, have a glass of Quatro and a slice of Battenburg cake from me.

Hi darren, with your 'intro yourself' thread, a big welcome back. Saw you collect old computer games and consoles... I found my old Mega Drive in my loft the other day, connected everything up and, to my amazement, it still works...I'd forgotten how much fun Sonic could be.

            All the best,

            Matthew
