Diesel car help and advice ??

So .... daughter is thumbing about buying a second hand BMW and her hubby fancies a diesel this time ....

Is there any issues with diesels nowadays , about 6 years old .

There were talks about raising the road tax on them and a few other things ....


Is it advisable to stay away from them now or do the mew rules just apply to NEW diesels ???

I know the fuel bills are lower UNLESS they're gonna hit the diesel fuel prices as well . Plus there was talk about depreciation on the diesels as well ..

Any suggestions or advice welcome !
