In dulci jubilo is probably the christmas song i hold dearest, 1976 a hit for Mike oldfield and the first record my wife (then girlfriend) ever bought for me But you can't beat a bit of slade.

Slade's Merry Xmas Everybody - I love Noddy telling us to "look to the future, it's only just begun" - very optimistic.
