    The 'important' things in life :)

    Now I'm thinking materialistic things not love , happiness and family ~friends etc

    Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

              Spotify, i much prefer listening to music to watching telly
              Laptop, I spend far too much time on it
              Mazda 3 sport fastback, bought a year ago,lovely car.
              Google home, fascinating gadget got for christmas
              My LP collection, it took me 30 years to amass
              My CD collection it took me the following 20 years to amass
              My finches, a constant source of amusement
              Ejector seat?...your jokin!

                This a good thread to start considering we are at the end of one year and almost at the beginning of another one.

                My choices are (this is a bit like the choices on Desert Island Discs):

                Sky Digibox
                VCR (and DVD recorder)
                Computer
                Digital radio
                Home in general
                Bath and hot running water (so I can a relaxing soak at the end of the day)
                Chocolate
                Two litre bottle of Pepsi cola

                If we are allowed to have books...

                Argos catalogue
                Yellow Pages
                Who's Who (if I can get a recent edition of it for a reasonable price)
                I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
                There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
                I'm having so much fun
                My lucky number's one
                Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

                    Mine are simple like yours. I too have an CD & LP collection. The latter may be worth a pretty penny these days. Tho did hear LPs are making a comeback or rather the turntable was. Need something on which to play them and as an LP fits perfectly make sense that LP will again be produced.. or perhaps already are.
                    Internet is my most important tech tool. Being an opinionated whatsit joining forums is the ideal way for me to express myself. I will admit this now that DYR is my fave general forum. I also belong to several sports forums.. cricket mostly. INSIDE CRICKET is my forum of choice. I use my IPhone to keep in touch but also take pics of my two most fave non humans.. my pooches Bubbles and Bonnie.

                      Well, I always like to have a complete bookcase in case anyone visits.

                      Speaking of Argos catalogues, I had a burglary at my old place back in April 2008 (my wallet was stolen), and because my wallet was sitting on top of an Argos catalogue, the forensics person actually dusted down my copy of the Spring and Summer 2008 edition of the catalogue to look for fingerprints by the intruder. The wallet (or the fingerprints) were never found, although thankfully, that catalogue isn't around anymore either. It's a few years ago now and I have since recovered from the incident.

                            I prefer proper headphones not those that pop out at any moment - they hurt your ears.

                              Na the decent ones fit inside your ear lovely ( plus you get a choice of sizes ) .. mine were in the HMV sale down from £50 to £20.

                              Sound amazing and soooooo comfortable plus they're noise cancelling..

                              I'm real sensitive and can't abide headphones that cover your ear , rather uncomfortable and make your ears sweat plus you stand out if you wear them in public ..
