A forum with more than 10 posts a day? This place was buzzing up until a few weeks ago but recently new threads are going unanswered and quiz threads ignored...what gives?

I was a member of DS many years ago but had to leave because I couldn't got on with people on there - they do cover such a lot of ground however.

Perhaps, but I have got bad memories from when I was there back in 2006 - I vouched never to come back after something happened over there. I suppose that I could use a different user name of course...

I might use a different user name (my original one was not the same as the one on this forum), but I would hazard a guess that someone with a good memory of the past could see though that and remember me.

I might let you know. One thing about the forums on there is the "tabloid" feel that they have, and that is another reason why I probably wouldn't rejoin - I heard someone refer to DS as "The Sun newspaper".

My favourite place is the Straight Dope Message Board. A lot of very smart people who will discuss a wide range of subjects. This is a place where you can discuss the finer points of higher mathematics, or swap silly puns. Often in the same thread.

.... so my biggest interests are music and cinema, i found a forum called "music banter"....what a bunch of assholes!, every time you made a comment or expressed an opinion that was not agreed upon,some jerk (take your pick) would slam you down (or in my case TRY) instead of simply stating an alternative viewpoint. fukem all!!!!!!!
