Gardening is another hobby I took up at lockdown (alongside with cycling, yoga, and soccer). A really relaxing activity. I regret I didn't take it up at university. It would restore my nerves after exams really great the other day faced a problem with ... wasps which were devouring my grape harvest luckily I had a repeller by Everpest at hand which worked just fine. You always have to be on the lookout when gardening

On a lighter note I planted up an elderly relative’s front garden yesterday and she was slightly disappointed when I said the main area was full of gorgeous orangey yellow Tagetes ... as she really likes Marigolds !!

    They are the same thing

Yeah I’ve heard rumours .. how crazy that we have hose pipe bans each year whilst possibly having as much rain as anywhere in the whole bladdy world !!

Why do they continue to allow billions or gallons of water drain / leak away year after year ??

Can you imagine the last three months if we’d had to endure the usual rain , cold and gales we normally have ... I mean what happened to April showers !!

Watched gardeners world last night Monty still busy planting sun flower plants, beans, tomatoes, his garden is massive he is always doing something in his garden,Nellie was around.I love Californian poppies they are so pretty it says on the seed packet that they are annuals but they come back each year so their definitely a perennial, they are also easy and fast growing I have them in pots they really lift your spirits anyone has a spare pot I would recommend them to you..

Phew!..Finally got the garden up to speed with a haircut for the lawn and some lovely new plants. Alas my G tech strimmer has now gone to the great gardening equipment graveyard in the sky so just spent fifty smackers on a new flymo one, hope it lasts a bit longer than the G tech did (2 years). Reckon garden centres will be re-opening as part of Boris's ease up measures to be announced on sunday.

Hey guys. Got my old lawn edger mower down, so now I'm thinking on getting some new way of keeping lawn in our garden smooth and nice. Can you share your experience on doing so?

Rhododendrons grow huge you mostly see them in parks similar colours to hydrangeas, azaleas are pretty too but a smaller scale, love wisteria beautiful and scented shame that they didn't last through the summer
