Yorkshire born and bred. Unfortunately my family is quite spread, and because of this I have to understand many accents. I think because of this upbringing between accents from all over Yorkshire I have a distinct accent that sounds like I'm putting it on.

I was actually born in North London, lived many years in 'lovely' Luton and have lived in North Cornwall since 1986.
I have no plans to move anywhere else, I absolutely love it here!

Can't think why I've not seen this thread before. I'm London born but brought up twenty miles south, in Surrey. Lived in Cornwall for the last ten years.
