This is nothing to do with remembering, i just need some advice, i am looking to buy some software for my pc that enables me to put my pictures on a cd/dvd and to be able to play around with i.e fade the pictures in and out but mostly play music in the background (from my music files) whilst viewing the photos.

dondons, maybe you could look at Roxio easy CD and DVD creator. It does a lot more than you need but it's very clever stuff. I've never actually used it to do what you're asking but I think it does that. Check it out at http://www.roxio.com
