  • Watching musicals at the theatre

Booked tickets to see Hairspray the Musical at the Empire Theatre in Liverpool on that "special date" in the near future - it has Norman Pace out of Hale and Pace in the cast so it should be good. As coronavirus might be almost gone by then, fingers crossed, I assume that it will go ahead as planned.

Will let you know what I thought of it later on in the year.

I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
    I'm having so much fun
    My lucky number's one
    Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

My computer packed in back in July hence my recent absence on DYR - I hope to be given a new computer for Christmas and so in the meantime I shall have to post from my tablet. If my writing looks a bit different then that's the reason why.

Anyway, I didn't go to Southend - I went to the Lowry in Salford Quays on my birthday and saw Chicago again on its penultimate performance. Female cast members looking like models for Pretty Polly and a similar performance to my Sheffield visit in 2022. I got myself a can of Tango (or should it be Cell Block Tango, geddit?) at the interval.

Decided to see it again because Roxie Hart was played by a different actress.

Next year, Matilda at the Norwich Theatre Royal - they have Sunday performances which means that I can see it on my birthday on 2026! Just looking into the payments at the moment.
