Anybody gonna play the RE4 remake in March?
In my opinion, RE as a whole is a seriously milked to death franchise. Capcom always goes back to Raccoon City because they love the year 1998, or something.
The series actually became vastly stupid thanks to the original RE4 from 2005 introducing farmers that drop bullets, even though they're not carrying guns. It moved the series towards action, because Capcom thought that would be more profitable than the creepy horror stuff the series started off as. It turns out though, they were right. It alienated everyone and their grandmother. However, they completely neutered the atmosphere. Older horror games in general have the right mood, etc, and now you barely get any music.
They even scammed people with that OST **** with the RE2 remake. It doesn't play correctly. What was the point?
The remakes were rubbish regardless. Every zombie took like 9 headshots to go down. That's funny, considering Leon does it right away at the gas station. And every area looks way too dark. You know?
