Talking of jobs (scuse me poking my nose in!) I am (hopefully) going back to work after 9 years. BT medically retired me after I had an operation on my back but I have decided that if I can sit round the house all day (although uncomfortable at times) I can sit in an office so I applied for a job with the Department for Works and Pensions. Suprisingly passed the numeracy and literacy tests AND the interview and "telephone role playing excercise" and have been offered the job subject to passing a medical (which should be interesting as it is being done by the same people I see every year for my incapacity benefit)
Not sure whether to celebrate or not! Charlie will miss me but the extra money will be nice

Thanks all, much appreciated. Got an appointment at the docs tomorrow to she what she thinks. Should be ok, must make sure I don't do anything too energetic today so I can walk tomorrow! (Pouring with rain so gardenings out...shame!) Oh and Amelia gets her exam results today so I will be sitting by the phone until she rings, bless her, I don't think she slept much last night. Good luck to anyone else waiting

Well she obviously hasn't inherited her dads brains (or my looks thank goodness!) She has 1 A*, 2 A's and 6 B's. Overjoyed with her A* which is in German, she wants to do languages at uni and got an A in French. I struggle with English myself. I've got a horrible feeling this gonna cost me, she has had her hair cut and top of her ear pierced to celebrate (?!)
