Just came back from several days in London. The highlight of the week was visiting the Imperial War Museum. Last time I was there the museum was being refurbished. It is now superb. My wife was a bit bewildered at a couple of things, particularly about the "Troubles" in Northern Ireland. She is not from Britain. Strange thing standing next to the armoured vehicle. It brought back half forgotten memories. There is even a small section about Afghanistan. There is a captured motorcycle there. This brought back an awful lot of memories about my despatch riding days (17 years!). The motorcycle in question is a (Honda) CG125, or at least a copy. It's a bit of a mishmash of parts. Some of it being from an earlier bike, some from a much later model. It's strange how some things trigger off half forgotten memories. The day at this museum was well spent.

Re: Imperial War Museum.
I visited the IWM myself in 1993 as part of our GCSE History topic.
Before that, I visited the London Planetarium in 1988 as part of our topic on Light.
Also did Madame Tussaud's, but unofficlally.I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
I'm having so much fun
My lucky number's one
Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

Re: Imperial War Museum.
We had a school trip with the option to visit The Houses of Parliament or the Science Museumsigpic
Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.
