-- Dawn of the Dead was filmed at the Monroeville Mall just outside of Pittsburgh. Interestingly there's a zombie museum there. Also part of Flashdance was filmed there.

You were close. The answer is actually Hanbury Street and Annie Chapman was Victim #2 on September 7, 1888. Part of the former Black Eagle/Truman Brewery complex (now shops and restaurants) actually occupies the site of Annie Chapman's murder at 29 Hanbury Street which was torn down in the early 1970s.

Actually the answer is Liverpool. I thought of putting in a Beatles reference but that would have made it way too easy. Meccano's main factory (and company HQ) was in Liverpool on Binns Road. A Cineworld Cinema at Edge Lane Retail Park now stands on the site.





Hitler's half brother Alois Hitler, Jr, had moved to Britain sometime in the 1890s and lived in Liverpool from 1910 to 1914. He married an Irish woman named Bridget Dowling who later claimed in her memoirs that Adolf, while on the run for draft evasion in his native Austria, had stayed with them in Liverpool in 1912-13. This, of course, wasn't true. Alois and Bridget had a son named William Patrick Hitler who was born in 1911. William Patrick later moved to the US and served in the American navy during WWII.
