Which British sitcom shares its name with a legendary film from Ealing Studios?

One tv/film I can think of was Dead of Night. But that was not a sitcom.

Film came out in 1960 - I must admit, I'm assuming it was an Ealing...

The sitcom is having a revival at the moment with a live version doing the rounds...

According to Wikipedia the last Ealing comedy was in 1958. I need more.

Which early 60s comedy-drama film, also a novel and play, became a TV sitcom a decade later on ITV?
