Sheffield born comedian actor Graham David Fellows created the character 'Jilted John' who had a hit single during the 1970's punk era which was called 'Gordon Is A Moron' and it reached number 4 in the UK charts but this artist was catagorised as a one-hit wonder . The lyrics to this track were quite aggressive and was based on John's girlfriend leaving him for a man called 'Gordon', it was classed by the music industry as being one of the strangest singles of the decade.The phrase 'Gordon is a Moron' was linked to ex-Prime Minister Gordon Brown'.
