Howard The Duck

"Howard the Duck" was actually based on a Marvel comic book character of the same name. Unfortunately, the sarcastic cigar-puffing duck was cheaply made as a tiny rubber costume in the film. Even so, it remains a cult classic.The story goes something like this: a scientific experiment somehow lulls poor Howard to Earth. With some help from Leah Thompson, Howard the Duck ruins the diabolic plans of Jeffrey Jones (doesn't this guy ever play a good guy?) and saves the day.

Never a fan of the comic, but I love the film!
yes, it was a turkey, but remains the perfect comicbook cult classic

I have no doubt Lea Thompson's presence is the main part of the appeal (to me), but I do (or did until he proved to be a recidivist) like a Jeffrey Jones pic
