  • Joe 90

Joe 90 was a puppet-led children's TV show in the style of Thunderbirds, created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson and aired in the 70s.Joe 90 was an intelligent nine-year-old boy who used to go into this machine called the B.I.G.R.A.T (Brain Impulse Galvanoscope Record And Transfer) and after being spun around a bit, he'd come out having taken on the brain powers of a top racing car driver, a nuclear physicist or anyone else he wanted to. Because of this, Joe is recruited as a secret agent and his missions are the subjects of the TV show.Obviously, Joe's popularity was cemented with a range of merchandise featuring the little man's angelic blond good looks, including sweet cigarettes. You wouldn't get that happening today!

I hated it. I have blond hair and glasses. Hearing people call me Joe 90 was a common insult. I sort of pity them and their shallow insults now though, obviously they couldn't come up with anything better due to their under developed minds.

Am glad Sly hates it. I grew up seeing repeats of it. I hate it. I just hate kids acting like adults and even the puppet was in that same vein...If he were real I'd have clouted him round the back of the head with a good thick ear and tell him to shut up...lol. My favourite Anderson show was Captain Scarlett....!

Yeah, Captain Scarlett and Stingray were my favourites. Terrahawks was pretty cool too.
