Re: Cadbury's Skippy
Yeah it was defiantly around in the 60's as its also features on the 60's Gibson's sweet memories jigsaw

Re: Cadbury's Skippy
Not sure when they were discontinued but the promotional Natwest offer refers to closing date in 1985

Re: Cadbury's Skippy
Does sound Driftery, but I seem to think I might have had one of these at some point, unless it was something else with a similar wrapper. When were they discontinued?

Re: Cadbury's Skippy
birds on biscuits is too bizarre?Originally posted by Emettman View PostYes, pink wafer fingers. Haven't seen them for a fair while, but that's probably because I'd never buy them for myself.
I recall them mainly in biscuit assortments, when the were usually among the last taken.
See here for a rather bizarre illustration (family and work safe)

Probably late 60's, but could have been a repeat in the early 70's: I remember eating a Skippy while watching Skippy (the bush kangaroo) on TV.

Don't remember trying one of these. Sounds like half a Drifter though.

Re: Cadbury's Skippy
I remember those. I much preferred them to other wafer-based treats (such as those pink fingers...) as they had a lot more substance and it felt like you were really eating something.
