A bunch of Mexican bandits steal a consignment of Bandit bars only to be apprehended by the federale. "I can't stand it with Bandit" was the catchphrase at the end of a particulary cheesy ad.

Are you meaning Bandit chocolate biscuits? They were a wrapped chocolate covered wafer and very good. I think they were in production into the 90s possibly?

In the 70s if I couldn't see a Club Wafer I went for a Bandit.

This has really sparked a memory re: the ad. I'm sure it had the line "I can't stand it with Bandit keep your chin off the floor" which always had my gran in stitches.
