This was a comedy/magazine kids' programme on ITV around 1983. There was the curious phenomenon of The Sacred Schooldinner guarded in the school basement of Fully Comprehensive School by a Brummie schoolboy-puppet! It would include news items and interviews with pop stars. Very slapstick and also obviously influenced by other school-based kids programmes at the time, including Grange Hill and Fame.

I actually went to school with one of the kids from Behind The Bikesheds. John Charles, although he was known as Paul Charles in the series. His older sister was in my year in primary school and was best mates with Tina Mahon, who ended up playing Ronnie Birtles in Grange Hill.
