Neck Purses

Neck purses were the trend circa 1977. Most were made of leather, with a leather lace attatched so you could wear them around your neck. I also had a fab one for Christmas one year that was made of a denim-type material and in the shape of a pair of jeans. it contained two pens, one cartridge and the other ball point, painted in stars and stripes.

I used to have one around my neck with my spending money in when I went on my school tours. I had a little red leather one first that my friend found somewhere and gave to me the night before I made my First Communion. I had a slightly bigger brown leather one with a horse's head on it after that one.
