The hero of every skateboarding child in the eighties and nineties. Tony Hawk was the world's best skater and inventor of some of the coolest tricks such as the airwalk, stale fish and Madonna.Tony Hawk also became the first person to successfully pull off a 900 degree spin (two and a half rotations).Tony was the world's best skateboarder aged sixteen and has gone one to win 73 pro contests. Tony Hawk is still skating professionally today.

Tony Hawks was a bit after my time but I do recall the Skyway freestyle team from america .They opened our bmx track in somerset in the early 80s.
