I was born in 1983 and I remember this! lol I used to love it too! Edible paper and those little silver balls and I was happy LOL

Oh AmethystWitch, I used to beg my mum to put those little silver balls on her cakes, like my Auntie Mary did, but it always fell on deaf ears. I think mum was upset that I thought Auntie Mary's cakes were more "special" than hers, cos no matter what mum did to decorate her cakes, I always wanted the silver balls. Even now, I smile to myself when I see them

your poor muim seems she was a trier.

i dont get the silver balls boo ha though.
they where not an actual part of the eating paper.

She was indeed!
They used to put that edible paper round pink & white nougat and it wasn't so bad then, but on its own? Not my thing at all...
