  • Big Fun

Big Fun was a trio from Stock, Aitken and Waterman's hit factory who had fantastic hits such as "Blame it on the Boogie", "Can't Shake the Feeling" and "Handful of Promises". They also did a great collaboration with Sonia and "You've Got a Friend" for Childline. Their fourth single failed to make the top 40, "Hey There Lonely Girl" and they disappeared off the face of the earth. What ever happened to Jason John, Phil Creswick and Mark Gillespie?

    Re: Big Fun

Blame it on the Boogie was their top hit but after that they went on the slippery slope. When I was 12 I could not see the naffness of these groups but now I can see why everyone was fed up with SAW churning them out, though you can't fault them for knowing their market.

Remember the Reynold's girls and 'I'd rather Jack', a direct pop at everyone who was against SAW. I'm happy to say I'd much rather Fleedwood Mac than Jack these days.

I bought that Childline single where Big Fun was singing with Sonia on it, in around 1990.
