Manchester rock band formed in the 60's were as well known as bands such as The Rolling Stones and The Searchers. They were known for their vocal harmonies.Their debut single "Ain't That Just Like Me" was released in May 1963, this reached number 25 on the UK Singles Chart. One of the most memorable hits in the UK was "Carrie Anne" which reached number 3 in the charts in 1967.The Hollies were awarded an Ivor Novello Award in 1995 for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.

I first came across the Hollies when they re-released he ain't heavy he's my brother. Really good group.
