In the 60s and 70's I used to buy these for 3d. They were kept in tall jars, they seemed to be about 12" long then, but they were probably around 8-10" really (I was only small). They were in a see through cellophane wrapper, and were hard caramel on the outside and a central core of chocolate. The same firm also did Barley Sugar stix.
