In memory of Inspiral Carpets drummer Craig Gill who sadly passed away last month at the age of just 44, Madchester fans have launched a campaign to get the band's 1994 Top 20 hit Saturn 5 to the coveted Christmas Number One spot.
So here's the plan; go to Amazon, itunes etc between now and the 22nd December cough up the measly 60p or whatever it is for a download of Saturn 5. You'll have a top tune to own digitally and Craig's memory will be honoured with the Number One spot the band always deserved - and we'll keep the Cash-Cowell off the Christmas Number One spot in favour of some proper moo!
