What if any old games do the young 'un enjoy playing today?
I ask because I've just spent almost all day playing with my boy aged 6 with games like Golden Axe, Bomberman, Streets of Rage 2, Sensible World of Soccer, Xmen and Sonic games. Of course we are playing on modern console.
It was quite fantastic, he doesn't really see the graphics as old or anything like that, he just enjoys the games. It makes me wonder if he just can see past the antiquity of these titles and see the gameplay buried within them, or whether he just sees them as a fun diversion. I'm not sure I could get the answers I want out of him because asking why somebody of that age likes something is just asking for the typical reply of "I just do."
It's marvellous though. He still loves stuff like Rock Band and the LEGO games, but he's dead into the old stuff. Is he a connoisseur before his age?
