    Quake 3 graphics issue

    Hey.

    I need a little technical help on Quake3 Arena on PC

    I loaded it up yesterday after about a 10 years gap , loaded the patches , played a few online games - great stuff !!!!

    THEN today .... somethings gone badly wrong graphics-wise .

    Whereas normally the lasers shoot off into the distance kinda like a very narrow laser-beam ....today the laser trail is about half an inch wide and looks cartoony ( ridiculous ) ,

    This has completely spoilt the game .

    HELP. !!!!

    I've discovered that it's the RAILGUN that the bullet tracer graphics have gone crazy !!!

        are you trying to run a 10 year old game on a new system .. if so reread the beginning of my reply to work out the solution
