    Re: Amiga

As with a fair few posters, I, too, had a Batman Pack Amiga A500, bought in 1989. My previous computer was a C128, and the difference in graphics and sound was startling, even though the C128 had decent graphics and sound for an 8-bit machine. I bought dozens of games for it over the next few years. I thought it was a cracking games computer, probably my favourite out of the many home computers I have owned down the years and I have so many happy memories of playing games on it, using my Sanyo 14" portable as a monitor--happy days.

Yeah, Frontier: Elite 2, then there was Frontier: First Encounters (which was a bug ridden mess)

elite was a big hit at the time my bro loved it.

Was gona be hard for a sequel to be as good.

Well Elite was great, Frontier: Elite II was great. So that was a sequel which succeeded.

But the sequel to the sequel was a rushed, buggy mess.

Elite: Dangerous (technically Elite 4) is great also.

I remember Frontier had a great theme tune and intro, but I never got on with the game itself.

I was much more into Elite - I'd give Elite Dangerous a go if my PC was up to it.
