Re: Games that never age
I've recently downloaded the original Super Mario Bros. for my wii. Just as great as the first time I played it.

Re: Games that never age
Yes, Manic Miner was the grand-daddy of all platformers. I was impressed to see that Flashback was mentioned too. Here are some others I adored:
3D Deathchase
Turbo Esrit (By Durell Software - the first Grand Theft Auto game was based on this)
The Hobbit
Sabre Wulf
Atic Atac
Knight Lore
Ant Attack
Trashman
Wheelie
Heavy on the Magick
Atari ST Games of Note: Defender of the Crown, Shadow of the Beast, Dungeon Master and Xenon II.

Re: Games that never age
Never having any reflexes to speak of, the "action" computer games were just incredibly frustrating for me. Right back to the original "Space Invaders"
But long-lasting classics?
I still return to the first edition of "Civilization" (preferred to later versions)
"The Incredible Machine" (more than one edition)
"Empire: wargame of the Century"
and "Perfect General"
Games where you could think about your moves.
