The MKIV is cool, but I do actually wish they hadn't changed the seat and kept the gear lever in the right place....

Worth buying a MKIV as I still get peeps cheering or reacting as I ride around on mine.....

    Love it!

I never had one of those as a kid, but I've been toying with the idea of buying one. Might buy an old one though, with the gear lever in the right place!

Used to love playing the Boot Hill machine in their foyer next to the paddle boats.

I would have thought it was so you didn't have to take a hand off the steering to change gear..bloody nanny state

Yeah, mine is a modern repro. So there have been a few changes to the original styling....like Daz said the ger shifts no longer on the cross beam bar, I read on some official Raleigh fans sight that the changes were made due to safety concerns i.e. coming off the bike and hurting your ahem crown jewels!

yes, a three gear shift stick, which I always thought was one of the coolest things about a Chopper. Seems silly to have remade them without it:cry:
    Saddle is different too
