Last played Top trumps (proper Top trumps that is, not the hello kitty type stuff my daughter has) when a certain grade at where I work were on strike but we still had to go in so we treat it like the last day of term at primary school...TOY DAY!!. Escalado (the horse racing game) was the biggest hit with some heavy money going on. We were all well into our 30's at the time.
