  • The Supatap

Is the Supatap still manufactured? There was a big trend for them during the 1960s and 70s but they were still many in use at the turn of the millennium although I have never seen any on sale in shops during my lifetime. There were a favourite for council houses because the washer could be changed without having to turn off the water supply.

Never heard of it but as someone who has replaced taps lately I can see the appeal!

They were sink and bath taps with a very distinctive downwards pointing nozzle that you turned to turn them on and off.

A modern tap using the same principle as the Supatap. I found it in a mosque.
