Ha ha my parents' kitchen still looks like that now. They have the same beige units as they had in the 80's. We even had the same door as the one in the photo with the wobbly 'tulip' glass. They have double glazed door now though.

My Mum sewed up some cushions for the bench & chairs to make them easier to sit on for long periods.
When we got a new table it went into the garage for a few years (the chairs were around the house as spares), but my brother now has it.
