Re: football
as a Subbuteo collector (and Airfix too!) I can heartily recommend Peter Upton's site..it is the reference 'bible' for Subbuteo & is an amazing piece of work!
ps Striker teams go for up to £50 on ebay..not the basic red/white, blue/white, but the extra teams you could buy with club crests on the boxes

Re: football
Spent many happy hours playing Subbuteo, was always a bit jealous of my friend as he had the grandstand, pitch side fencing and the electronic scoreboard, state of the art stuff back in the late 70s
I used to have Striker and Super Striker too, but they weren't as good as Subbuteo. The only thing to look forward to is the past

Re: football
Everything about Subbuteo was great except for the size of the ball......why oh why did it have to be bigger than the players!Originally posted by Herr Grunwald View PostSpent many happy hours playing Subbuteo, was always a bit jealous of my friend as he had the grandstand, pitch side fencing and the electronic scoreboard, state of the art stuff back in the late 70s
