  • HELP!!! QWERTY tape player

This is a real shot in the dark but there is a toy im looking for. Heres the story:It was in the mid to late 80's and my mum and nan took me shopping to ASDA( if your American you'd call it wall mart) at Swanley in Kent. While we were there my mum brought me a toy called QWERTY or somthing like that. It was a blue cassett deck with a built in qwerty keyboard. The idea was that you put the story tape in that was about three alieans looking for the great and powerful qwerty. You were asked questions to which you had to answer using the keyboard.Any way when we moved about eight years ago it got lost. I was a bit upset because i like to keep old toys to show my younger relatives. Then in 2001 my dad passed away suddenly at work from a massive hart attack. Since then i have been looking for the toys he brought me as a little step back in memory from time to time. The upshot of is, and this is where you come in, I can not find a trace of QWERTY. If anybody remembers this toy or had/has one please let me know. Even the manufactorers name would be more help than you could ever possibly know. I really do hope that you can help.Yours Sincerly Carl*

Hi I was wondering if you found out what this was? I also have been trying to get information on this toy. I can remember the 3 aliens as some sort of Bee People, it also came with colouring books with the 3 characters also.... I know its been years but its a shot in the dark

Yep, it was a blue keyboard, with a tape deck, and you listened to the stories, and spelt the answers to help the story continue. I have photo's of this toy. It was such a memorable toy for me (i was born in 1981, and the toy was big in 1987).
