does anyone know what this toy is called?

Hi can anyone please tell me what the following toy is called as its been driving me mad now for weeks, tryin to figure out the name of it. it came out in the early 80's I think and there were different sorts eg police station, fire station, hospital etc. they had figures with them that had a metal ball on the bottom of them and they used to roll down ramps.

Are they not called "weebles" ?

I think weebles were more egg shaped. That appears to have a proper head shape on top. It looks familiar. Darned if I can remember though.

I can confirm that they're definitely not weebles but I can't tell you what they are.

I think they were called Shuffles and were made by Matchbox.Hope this helps.
