Drinking Birds

Anyone have a Drinking Bird? You wet the beak, and then it would start rocking until the beak dipped into the water again, paused, then started rocking again. There's a thermodynamic explanation, but as a kid I just thought it was a fun novelty. Also known as a Dunking Bird.

I Remember them.

Like so many things at the time they were a bit naff, but great fun.

Another thing was those metal ball things where about six balls were suspended in a cradle and you lifted and let go of one and it made the one at the other end swing.

My nan had one of those birds, as a kid you're fasinated by this kinda thing, aren't you?

Only ever saw them on sale in the gift shops when I went on holiday to Camber
