Need help finding army toy cars I remember as a kid

I've come to this forum in the past looking for help finding a toy I remember having and so I thought I'd try with this one.

I remember I had two army vehicles, about the size of a matchbox car, but made of plastic. One was a truck with an open back for putting small army soldiers, much like the traditional plastic army men, but of a much smaller size. There was also a large cannon on the back of the truck that could fire a projectile.

The other vehicle was a dune buggy type car and you could place a soldier sitting down in the front seat. I think there was also a cannon on the back of that. I don't know if they were part of a larger set or if they were part of a well known brand, it's possible they could have been a couple of cheap market style toys.

If either of these sound familiar to anyone let me know.

Eh, I thought I knew what you were talking about when I saw the description of the first vehicle, but it doesn't fit the description of the second one... when did you have these toys?
