Wife just got me this for Xmas. Completely original and all pieces still sealed in plastic bags. Excitedly, we opened it on Xmas day for a game and...it was ****. Click image for larger version

I could only dream of owning this back in the day. On balance though it wasn't nearly a perfect facsimile of the iconic ship: for a start it wasn't to scale with the action figures,( see pic Luke can only stand up with the roof removed.) Neither was it to scale with the X Wing or the Tie Fighter, it would have to have been 5 times bigger. Click image for larger version

This was a cool toy I got Xmas 1977. Well it was cool and it wasn't. Problem with this was it was perminantley in submarine mode and when it wasn't it looked odd as in car mode it had no wheels. Still remains my favourite retro Bond film just for the Lotus scene.

A decade before George Lucas made his millions from Star Wars toys, Gerry Anderson didnt with his TV tie in toys from Fireball XL5 to UFO. Click image for larger version Name:	photos_81032171_36948579_42756343.jpg Views:	0 Size:	73.1 KB ID:	281120

This was the 'unofficial' Action Man helicopter made by Cherilea not Palitoy. There was a green army version as well. My brother got this Xmas 1976, one hour after assembly, I slipped down the stairs and bumped into him playing with it and snapped a rotor off.
