Do anyone remember this from the 90's

Hi all, I was digging around a while ago in the loft when I came across this from my 90's childhood:

It was a series of books with a wand which used like bar codes and boxes to record answers. I have looked on the net and can't find nothing about it or the books. It was called challenger. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
