Vintage (70s) war game toy

The toy was a box with a battlefield landscape you could place troops and trees in. You could attack opponent with a “gun” feature under the battlefield that popped opponents up.

I used to play a game on Android (I believe it was on Android) in which you could buy a bunch of miniature knights, horses, archers, and little dudes with clubs and swords and then form an army and fight each other; I believe it was similar to a birds-eye 2D perspective. The small characters resembled flat-topped Knights. I keep thinking about this game and really want to play it, but I can't remember the name. Also, if there is a sub for finding the names of games you can't recall, please refer me to it.
