No I think your thinking of Bennetts Toy shop, Dads was on alexander Street estate, which was just before AIE's factory on the way from Thorne to moorends it was just off King Edward road.

A quick update have spotted in loft a board game with Sid James face on the box, it at this moment is trapped under a fallen plank what the damage is im not sure however I am still happy to find something that has nothing to do with trains, its some kind of horse racing game, will post pics when I manage to rescue it.

Did you ever unearth the Sid James boxed game in the attic? I remember having the game myself. A large plastic, automated horse racing game. Could have been Red Rum, endorsed by Sid on the front of the box.
