• Large outdoor construction toy

Hi, I just had to register tonight to see if you lovely people could help me out before insanity takes hold! When we were kids (late 80's/early 90's) we used to have this great outdoor construction toy. It consisted of (if my memory serves me correctly) large black tubes which fitted together to form squares (which then fitted together to form cubes, etc...) and colourful plastic panels which could be fitted into the squares of black tubes. Does that make sense? I guess the squares would look a little like this:-

    _______

______

The middle would then be covered by the coloured plastic panel.

The idea was that you could make life size playhouses and forts, and I remember that one time we even made a tractor that we could sit in and things!!

So, does anyone remember that toy? And what was it called??

    Quadro. It's still around.

With the set I helped on for my friend's kids, it even had a miniature construction set to help you plan out the full size project.

There are several sets on eBay at present, (but you need to be in the right area: not many want to post it...)

That was it! Oh, it brings back so many memories!! I've been thinking of it because I'm currently pregnant with my own little boy or girl and I wondered if it was still around. When he/she is old enough we'll definitely be getting our hands on some of this.

Thank you so much for your help!
