Dennis Waterman was born 24th of february 1948 in clapham london england.


Had a top ten hit in the U.K. with the song "I Could Be So Good for You" in October 1980.

An avid fan of Chelsea Football Club, London. Ironically, as Terry McCann, his character in Minder, he had to play a fan of Fulham football Club who are Chelsea's local rivals from London.

Once filmed an episode of Minder at Stamford Bridge, home of his Chelsea F.C. Unfortunately the story line meant that he was actually thrown out of the stadium!

His duet with "Minder 1979 co-star George Cole, What Are We Gonna Get 'Er Indoors, reached the number 21st position on the UK charts in 1983.

Two daughters with Patricia Maynard hannah waterman (born 1975 and Julia Waterman born 1979.

I never realised he had such a very tough up bringing.

love the bit where he said he went into a pub and he challenged to a fight.

he suits the hardman role as he looks like a hardman buit really he is not.

minder and the sweney are superb shows those two shows define him.

Just reading this thread from start to finish was making me wonder if the subject of 'feem toons' would come up.

Talking of which, don't forget 'On The Up'.

'The Sweeney' and 'Minder' are a couple of my absolute all-time favourite TV shows, and 'I Could Be So Good For You' remains an absolute classic.

Loved Minder and my late gran used to nickname Arthur coward. Didn't he used to be married to Rula Lenska and was rumoured to have beat her up? Not a nice man if this is true.

Oh god, the problem with 'name only' threads on forums nowadays is the first thought before clicking through is 'oh he's died!' Followed by 'oh he's been arrested'!

love the Waterman. He's a bit rubbish nowadays though.
