I am trying to remember an ITV advert from the late 1970s, I think, in which a family (Northern?) are gathered around the dinner table and the mother exclaims "Ooh, you cheeky monkey!" to her son (or one of her sons?). I think it was an advert for some kind of convenience food. Does anyone remember? I also seem to recall mimicking that line in around 1979 which is why I date it to the late seventies.

I am certain that the "cheeky monkey" phrase has been used in quite a few adverts over the years - I obviously would not remember the advert that you are referring to, but I am getting a de ja vu feel with regards to that being mentioned in adverts.I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
I'm having so much fun

I know cheeky monkey was also used in a PG Tips ad when they used real chimpanzees, but that was mid 80s.
