I am certain that Jeffery Kissoon, the actor who played teacher Chris Kennedy in Grange Hill in the mid 1980s (the one who shaved his obviously false moustache off in order to get Steven Banks to do the same) did a couple of voiceovers for pasta sauce adverts, either Dolmio or Ragu in around the mid 1990s - and I am certain that one of them was on YouTube at some point. When I watch series 9 and 10 of Grange Hill and hear his voice (on the assumption that he speaks with his normal voice on there), it sounds the same as the ones in the adverts. I know that Kissoon appeared in Star Trek a few years before Grange Hill, and that he was also related to the 1970s music duo Mac and Katie Kissoon, as well as looking like them.
The voiceover in the adverts sound so much like him when I hear it, and I would love to know whether it was him - I am almost certain that it is. The problem is that finding a Dolmio or Ragu advert with his voice on at the moment is rather difficult to find. Rather frustrating.
