Wine Gums advert

Just in case anyone here remembers this advert, I thought I'd mention that it's back on TV! It's the old Wine Gums advert with that Scottish guy in his house full of different things (the thing that always stood out the most for me was that moose's head above the fireplace), and halfway through the advert he'd shout out "there's a moose loose aboot this hoose". It was originally on in the 90s, I think. It was great to see it again, I used to love that advert when I was little!

Was wondering where that phrase came from, was going to start a thread to find out a while back but thought it was a bit silly.

The actual phrase is from the lyrics of a song called Hoots Mon and sung by Lord Rockingham X1 Steve, but was used in the advert Tantopat remembers

HOOTS MON - 28/11/1958

Yes Maynards are a favourite of mine.
