Has anyone seen the new advert for Virgin? Theres a shot of an "Our Price Records" shop on it. I'd forgotten about those stores until I saw that. Happy days........ It's a great advert!!

I heard the respected travel journo Simon Calder, on LBC Radio saying that he was on Virgin's inaugural flight in 1984, and that they (Virgin) weren't even allowed near Terminal One at Heathrow. They had to use another Terminal on the perimiter. And the stewardesses didn't look like models either. A little truth bending in that ad.
I thought it was funny that they used FGTH's "Relax" when "Two Tribes" was actully #1 in the charts at that time.

I think it's a pretty good advert. Good attention to period detail with the exception of the stewardesses who don't look very 1980's to me at all. Shouldn't they have shorter hair for a start?
